Questions frequently asked
Does the Radial StageDirect allow silent tuning on stage?
The mute switch cuts the main XLR output and the thru output to the amplifier, while the tuner output remains active. Two LEDs clearly indicate the mute or operational status.
Can a guitar, an active bass, or a keyboard be connected?
The high-impedance input accepts guitars, basses, and keyboards. An attenuator is provided for high-level sources, with a maximum input level specified at 13 dBu.
What connectors are available on this active DI?
The connectors include two jack inputs and jack thru outputs, balanced XLR, tuner, and control outputs. A remote control can be connected to the dedicated connector with a momentary, non-latching switch.
Can the mute be controlled remotely?
It is possible to trigger switching from an external momentary switch connected via jack. This function allows cutting the signal during an instrument change without touching the pedal.
How to manage bass and phase issues with the StageDirect?
A high-pass filter reduces excessive bass and certain resonances. The 180° polarity reverse helps address phase shifts, especially between a DI and an amp microphone. The specified frequency response ranges from 20 Hz to 20 kHz.
