The RCF NX 15-SMA is designed as a high-performance active stage monitor, capable of delivering reliable sound in demanding environments (concerts, studios, mobile gigs). Its coaxial design and digital amplification aim for powerful yet clear reproduction while maintaining a lightweight build to facilitate handling and transport.
Intended Uses and Musicians
Ideal as a vocal monitor, for keyboards or modeling guitars, the NX 15-SMA targets musicians and technicians seeking precise nearfield monitoring with ample headroom. Thanks to its Free Field mode and side mount for spacer pole, it can also be used as a portable PA speaker (small standalone FOH, spot reinforcement, mobile sound reinforcement).
Power, Directivity, and DSP Processing: Efficiency Serving the Mix
With its digital bi-amplification and a max SPL of 130 dB, the NX 15-SMA provides enough margin to stay clean when the stage gets louder. The constant directivity horn with 60deg x 60deg coverage helps control dispersion, reducing unwanted feedback and improving overall stability on stage.
Two Ready-to-Use EQs
RCF includes two EQ modes that adapt the speaker's response to the setup: "Floor" for floor monitor use, and "Free Field" for more suitable dispersion in standalone applications. This approach saves time during soundcheck and makes it easier to achieve a coherent sound depending on the application.
DSP, Limiter, and Protection
The internal processing includes DSP, boost equalizer, soft limiter, and protections : a set designed to preserve musicality at high levels while securing the system during intensive use (level variations, unexpected signals, long sessions).
Simple and Effective Connectivity
Connections are straightforward and practical: combo XLR / 6.35mm Jack input and XLR output, allowing quick daisy-chaining or integration into an existing setup. The ergonomic side handle, integrated into the connection panel, facilitates handling during stage changes.
