Historical Context and Positioning in the Range
In the Emperor series, the Clear version is positioned as a performance-oriented choice: a direct sound, excellent resistance to heavy hits, and a tone that emphasizes impact rather than warmth.
Who This Drum/Instrument Is For
This drumhead is aimed at intermediate to advanced drummers seeking consistent feel and high durability, both in rehearsal and on stage. It is particularly suited for styles requiring punch and clear articulation.
Features and Innovations
Its double-ply construction promotes stable playing, limits unwanted harmonics, and increases longevity. The clear finish maintains a quick response and a dynamic feel under the stick.
Sound Characteristics
The clear film delivers precise attack and natural projection. The 2 plies reinforce the body of the sound, tighten the sustain, and help achieve a more "focused" tom or snare with excellent stick definition.
