A Modern Overdrive Fueled by Vintage DNA (Shawn Tubbs Signature)

The REVV Tilt Shawn Tubbs was designed with a clear idea: to condense into a compact pedal the experience of a lifetime spent searching for the perfect balance between vintage amps and reference studio guitar tones. Rather than multiplying complex settings, the Tilt focuses on immediately musical controls to quickly find "the" sweet spot, whether you play through a clean combo, a crunchy amp, or direct in a modern setup.

Within the REVV range, the Tilt targets guitarists who want an expressive drive capable of fitting into a very simple rig or a full pedalboard, with a dedicated boost to step up in solos or bring presence back to a rhythm sound.

Who It's For and Which Styles the REVV Tilt Excels In

This effects pedal suits both the intermediate musician looking for an easy-to-set overdrive and the advanced guitarist wanting a coherent and stage-ready dual Overdrive/Boost section. Thanks to its active EQ on the Drive side and Tilt EQ on the Boost side, it covers a wide palette: blues, rock, country, fusion, modern pop, and any context where a clear attack and pick dynamics are expected.

In live settings, the Boost section is ideal for standing out in the mix without excessively increasing volume, by playing with tonal balance. In studio, the Bass/Treble flexibility of the Drive helps place the guitar in the arrangement, especially when alternating between multiple instruments, pickups, or amps.

Controls, Modes, and Ergonomics: A Two-Channel Pedal Built for Efficiency

The Tilt is structured as a true field tool: two distinct sections, each with dedicated controls. The Drive section offers a classic and highly effective approach, with a Gain control to dial saturation, a Level to adjust output volume, and a Bass / Treble EQ to instantly adapt the pedal to your guitar, amp, and speaker cabinet.

The Boost section goes beyond simple volume increase: the Boost control pushes your chain (amp input, another overdrive, preamp), while the Tilt EQ acts as an intuitive tonal switch. On one side, you enhance roundness and density; on the other, you emphasize attack and brightness, handy for making a riff "snap" or brightening a neck pickup. A Tight 3-position selector completes the setup to tighten response and adjust feel under the fingers, especially when switching between open chords, palm mutes, and more articulated phrases.

For integration, the top-mounted jacks facilitate tight cabling on a pedalboard. The pedal runs on a standard 9V power supply (not included), a practical choice for most multi-output power supplies.

Sound

The REVV Tilt offers saturation that seeks balance between texture and clarity. The Drive section ranges from a slight grit, sensitive to touch, to a more pronounced overdrive, while maintaining a clear contour thanks to the Bass/Treble EQ. It responds well to guitar volume: lowering the guitar's volume knob slightly yields a cleaner sound, ideal for transitioning from a verse to a chorus without changing settings.

The Boost with Tilt EQ adds a very musical dimension: rather than stacking highs or lows brutally, it allows you to reposition the guitar in the spectrum depending on your amp, room, and mix. The Tight selector helps maintain precise attack and a more controlled low end, particularly useful with humbuckers, lower tunings, or already bass-heavy sounds.
