This 5-string electric bass is aimed at intermediate to expert bassists who want a wide sonic palette without struggling with settings. Perfect for studio and stage, it excels in funk, pop, rock, gospel, fusion, and slap: the 5th string provides solid low-end foundation, while the bolt-on neck with a 12" / 304.8 mm radius maintains a smooth feel for fast runs and long sessions.
Sound
The swamp ash delivers a solid low end and a sharp attack, with nice definition in the upper spectrum. The amourette top adds a touch of density and precision, ideal for well-defined notes and a modern tone. The roasted maple neck and fingerboard combination enhances stability and provides clear articulation, very effective for fingerstyle as well as slap playing.
Regarding pickups, the MM hum-cancelling at the bridge offers punch, strong mids, and an incisive character, while the J-Style hum-cancelling at the neck position brings roundness and depth without unwanted noise. The balance control allows switching from a tight and aggressive sound to a warmer, woodier tone.
