A Demon Designed for Low Tunings and Metal Aesthetics
The Demon series embodies Schecter's Metal DNA: an aggressive design, satin finish, and dark hardware, serving an instrument that embraces heavy modern tones. In the 8-string version, the Demon 8 clearly targets low tunings and massive riffs, with active electronics engineered to retain definition even under heavy saturation.
For Whom and Which Styles?
The Schecter Demon 8 is aimed at intermediate to advanced guitarists who want to explore the extended range of an 8-string without compromising stability. It excels in modern metal, djent, death metal, metalcore, but remains relevant for heavy and textured atmospheres whenever precise rhythm and tight lows are sought.
The Sound
Its mahogany body provides density and a solid low-midrange, perfect for supporting palm mutes and massive chords. The 28" scale length improves string tension and helps keep the lows clear, while the fixed string-through bridge enhances attack and sustain. The active Duncan Designed HB-105 pickups deliver a high output level, with a clear and slightly compressed response: ideal for heavy distortions, harmonics, and tight rhythms. The simple controls (1 volume, 1 tone) and the 3-position selector go straight to the point, allowing quick shifts from cutting to thicker tones.
