Evolution Wireless G4: The 4th Generation Built for the Field

The Sennheiser ew 100 G4 is part of the "evolution wireless" line, a range that has become a benchmark for users who want to switch to professional wireless microphones without unnecessary complexity. This fourth generation (G4) emphasizes robustness, UHF stability, and rapid deployment, while maintaining a clear user interface on the receiver's LCD screen.

Within the range, this Vocal Set ew 100 G4-945 aims for an ideal balance: advanced enough to handle demanding environments (studio, stage, events), yet quick to configure when balancing, interventions, and stage changes need to follow one another.

For Which Voices and Uses?

Designed for professional live sound, this system targets singers, presenters, lecturers, and technical teams seeking an intelligible voice, well-centered in the mix, with excellent resistance to feedback (Larsen). The supercardioid directivity helps limit pickup from monitors and rear sources, facilitating stage work and improving voice clarity in the room.

With a range advertised up to 100 m (depending on environment) and a stable UHF band, it performs well on tour, outdoors, in conference rooms, amphitheaters, or events where radio reliability is a prerequisite.

What Sets the ew 100 G4-945 Apart

The e 945 Capsule: Presence, Articulation, and Control

The set relies on the MMD 945-1 capsule (from the e 945 family) known for its clarity and precise vocal reproduction. Its specified frequency response of 80 Hz to 18 kHz maintains a solid foundation while enhancing intelligibility. The supercardioid pattern helps keep the voice upfront, even when the stage is noisy or monitors are loud.

True Diversity Receiver and Metal Chassis: A Solid Base for the Stage

The EM 100 G4 half-rack receiver is based on True Diversity technology and housed in a fully metal case. The goal is simple: secure reception and offer direct control of essential parameters via an intuitive LCD screen, particularly useful for quick adjustments during stage changes.

Fast Workflow: IR Sync and Multichannel Management

Infrared synchronization between transmitter and receiver speeds up setup. For multi-system configurations, the linking function allows quick frequency assignment for up to 12 receivers, while supporting up to 20 compatible channels. A real time saver when multiple speakers follow one another or when a frequency plan must be implemented without losing track of the event.

Controlled Dynamics and Integrated Equalization

The Sennheiser HDX compressor-expander contributes to stable and clean transmission, with a high specified signal-to-noise ratio. For quick adaptation to context, several equalizer presets are available (flat, low cut, low cut + high boost, high boost) to adjust the voice to the room, microphone placement, and timbre type without complicating the setup.
