Heir to the 800 Series: A Tribute to Bob Taylor's Beginnings
Born within the Legacy collection, the 810e celebrates half a century of Taylor innovations by revisiting the aesthetics and spirit of the early "800" models. It is not a mere reissue: it combines historic lines with contemporary refinements (white binding, three-ring green abalone rosette, Large Diamond mother-of-pearl inlays). The first 100 pieces feature an interior label signed by Bob Taylor and Kurt Listug, a strong symbol of this heritage.

Designed for intermediate to expert guitarists, the Legacy 810e excels in powerful strumming, flatpicking, folk, rock, country, and bluegrass. Its quick response and wide dynamic range also make it convincing for light fingerstyle. Thanks to the LR Baggs Element VTC system, it transitions effortlessly from rehearsal room to stage, delivering a natural and balanced sound.
Sound
The Indian rosewood provides deep lows and sparkling highs, while the Sitka spruce offers headroom and attack. The Dreadnought body shape ensures projection and breadth, while the X-bracing promotes clarity, definition, and generous sustain. The 25.5" scale length enhances articulation and note sustain, ideal for open chords as well as vigorous picking, with clean mids and a rich stereo image at the pickup.
Recommended Compatible Accessories
Delivered in a deluxe hard case, the Legacy 810e will benefit from a replacement set of D'Addario XS Phosphor Bronze Medium strings (13-56) to preserve its voice and tuning stability. Add a clip-on tuner for quick tuning on stage, as well as a case humidifier to stabilize humidity and protect the Sitka spruce top.
