With the Legend '70s Artist-W, the Legend '70s series introduces a rare approach in the piano keyboard market: that of a modular instrument designed for the stage. Here, the musician is not limited to a fixed sound bank. They build their instrument around the modules they actually need, according to their repertoire, setup and playing style.

This philosophy gives the Legend '70s a unique position in the world of digital stage pianos. More customizable than a traditional stage piano, it is equally suited to demanding keyboard players and pianists looking to recover a serious touch while benefiting from an evolving sound platform that can be used immediately in live performance.

Keyboard design

The Legend '70s Artist-W features a Hammer Action keyboard designed to deliver a convincing, musical feel from the very first touch. The 3 sensors positioned beneath each key analyze movement with great precision, encouraging nuanced playing, reliable note repetition and a response that faithfully follows velocity variations.

On the Artist-W version, the action goes even further with graded weighting: the keys become progressively lighter in the upper register, just like on a traditional acoustic piano. This is complemented by real wooden keys, carefully selected and stabilized to ensure consistency, comfort and long-term durability. The result is particularly appealing to pianists accustomed to an expressive, substantial action under their fingers.

Sound quality

The Legend '70s Artist-W's greatest sonic strength lies in its architecture of interchangeable modules. Musicians can customize their instrument with several Sound Modules equipped with next-generation sound generators, including physical modeling. This design makes it possible to adapt the keyboard's sonic identity to every context, from pure piano playing to more distinctly vintage textures.

Among the modules already available are E.Piano, A.Piano, Clavi, Sound Collection, Synth-8, A.Piano 2G and FM Synth. This diversity covers acoustic piano sounds as well as electric pianos, retro keyboards and more synthetic colors. The whole system forms a premium, flexible and evolving platform, designed for musicians who want a carefully chosen, distinctive sound that can be controlled directly from the front panel.
