From Clyde McCoy to Wah Icons: The VOX DNA
Born in 1967 to evoke the muted trumpet sound of Clyde McCoy, the VOX wah was quickly adopted by guitarists and popularized by legends like Jimi Hendrix and Eric Clapton. The Real McCoy VRM-1 draws inspiration from the very first iterations, while the V846 Vintage reprises the version renamed one year later. This limited chrome edition VRM-1-LTD condenses this sonic heritage into a premium chassis designed to last.
For Whom and Which Styles?
Perfect for motivated beginners to seasoned musicians, the Real McCoy targets fans of blues, 60s/70s rock, funk, soul, psychedelic, and vintage hard rock. Live, it cuts through the mix with a singing midrange emphasis; in the studio, its precise sweep facilitates automations and detailed takes. It integrates effortlessly on a minimalist pedalboard as well as a full rig.
