A Waldorf Heir Between Q, Microwave, and the PPG Spirit
Originating from the "noble house" Waldorf, the Blofeld Keyboard carries the sonic DNA that marked iconic machines like Pulse, Q, Micro Q, or Microwave. Its goal is clear: to condense in a slim and elegant format a character that is both fat, rich, and incisive, while embracing the brand's other historic signature: wavetable synthesis. The result: a synth capable of shifting from an organic, warm pad to sharp, punchy, "wave"-type textures that are immediately recognizable.
For Whom and In What Contexts?
The Waldorf Blofeld Keyboard is aimed at experienced musicians (and motivated curious users) who want a versatile synthesizer capable of covering electro, techno, ambient, synthwave, pop, or even sound design for visuals. Thanks to its 16-part multitimbrality and polyphony reserve, it is equally comfortable in the studio for layering sounds as it is live for controlling multiple sounds from a single instrument.
