A "Power" Version Designed for Modern Pedalboards
In a modern setup, the power supply is no longer just an accessory: it is the foundation of stability, silence, and consistent sound. This "Power" version adopts a modular and scalable approach, with an architecture designed to keep pace with pedalboard growth (adding digital pedals, compact multi-effects, wireless systems). Thanks to its dedicated 24 V connectivity, it fits into a clean power chain logic while maintaining a discreet format intended for integration under the board.
Who Is It For and What Is It Used For?
This power supply is aimed at guitarists and bassists who want a clean, silent, and isolated power source, equally comfortable in rehearsal, studio, or on stage. It is especially suitable for musicians mixing several types of pedals: noise-sensitive overdrives and fuzzes, modulations, digital delays and reverbs, tuners, preamps, or pedals requiring higher current. If you want to reduce hum, hiss, and pedal interaction, the isolated outputs and current reserve provide a real daily comfort gain.
Designed for Clean Signal and Controlled Power Supply
Isolated Outputs: Stability and Silence
With 8 isolated outputs, each pedal benefits from its own power supply, greatly limiting ground loops and unwanted noise often caused by shared power supplies. Each output can provide 500 mA, giving you a comfortable margin for digital pedals or compact processors, while maintaining stable power when the pedalboard is under load (preset changes, strong dynamics, effect stacking).
Two Variable Voltage Outputs: Immediate Flexibility
The 2 variable voltage outputs allow voltage adjustment according to pedal needs: 9 V (up to 500 mA), 12 V (up to 375 mA), or 18 V (up to 250 mA), switchable. This is ideal for optimizing a preamp, providing more headroom to certain distortions, or powering pedals specifically designed for 12 V or 18 V. This keeps your pedalboard clean without multiplying separate adapters.
Instant Load Reading and USB-C Port
The LED Power Meter (100%, 50%, 30%, 10%) offers a quick reference on the load, handy for a glance check that your setup remains within a comfortable operating range. The USB-C port adds a very useful dimension on stage and on the go: charging phones, tablets, clip-on tuners, or guitar transmitters, provided a suitable connection is used.
Easy Integration Under the Pedalboard and Optimized Cabling
The chassis is designed to fit under most boards, including compact formats. The supplied cables are pedalboard-friendly: right-angle plug on the pedal side for easier access in tight rows, and extra-small plug on the power supply side to save space under the board. The included mounting brackets facilitate clean installation on most elevated Pedaltrain models or similar boards, for stable cabling and simplified maintenance.
Extension via 24 V: A Scalable Base
Thanks to its 24 V input and 24 V output, the power supply can be used in an extension logic by connecting additional "Canvas Power Link" modules. This is a particularly interesting approach if your pedalboard evolves: you maintain a coherent architecture instead of multiplying disparate blocks under the board.

Questions frequently asked
How many pedals can the Canvas Power 8 power?
The power supply has a total of 10 outputs: 8 isolated outputs and 2 variable voltage outputs.
Are the outputs of the Walrus Audio Canvas Power 8 isolated?
Eight isolated outputs reduce ground loops and interactions that could cause hum. Each isolated output delivers up to 500 mA.
What voltages are available on the variable outputs?
The two switchable outputs offer 9 V up to 500 mA, 12 V up to 375 mA, or 18 V up to 250 mA. This configuration meets the needs of pedals designed for 12 V or 18 V.
Can a power-hungry digital pedal be powered with this power supply?
Each isolated output provides 500 mA, a current suitable for digital pedals and compact processors according to their specified requirements. The LED Power Meter displays four load levels: 100%, 50%, 30%, and 10%. A quick load check is thus possible on the pedalboard.
Can the Canvas Power 8 be mounted under a Pedaltrain?
Mounting brackets are included for installation under most raised Pedaltrain models or similar boards. The enclosure measures 20.6 x 5.4 x 2.54 cm and the supplied cables have right-angle plugs on the pedal side.
