Canvas Power: a modern power supply designed for current rigs
The Canvas Power HP Plus fits into a very contemporary approach to pedalboards: configurations where analog pedals, digital effects, modelers, and multi-effects units coexist. To meet these needs, Walrus Audio relies on a modern switching architecture, designed to deliver high power while remaining highly efficient and heavily filtered. The result: each output is advertised as isolated, with very low noise levels, which helps maintain a clean signal even when the pedalboard becomes dense.
Who is it for and what are its uses?
The Canvas Power HP Plus is aimed at guitarists and bassists who want a single power supply capable of handling very different needs: a row of "classic" 9 V pedals on one side, and on the other, much more power-hungry devices (modelers, multi-effects, high-consumption digital pedals). It is also very suitable for gigging musicians: its flat format facilitates integration under most pedalboards, while mounting via brackets limits movement during transport and quick pedalboard changes.
Key features: power, modularity, and control
Outputs suited for demanding pedals
The highlight of the HP Plus is its two 3 A outputs capable of switching between 9 V and 12 V. This flexibility allows powering devices with high current demands and, as needed, pedals operating at higher voltages. Additionally, you have seven isolated 9 V outputs (up to 500 mA each) for your usual effects, as well as a variable 9/12/18 V output to adjust voltage for certain specific pedals.
A power supply designed to stay silent
The Canvas Power series is advertised as built on a switching architecture with isolated outputs, high efficiency, and significant filtering. The goal is clear: deliver a lot of current while maintaining extremely low noise. This is a major advantage when mixing digital effects, high gain, and complex chains on the same pedalboard, which are often more sensitive to interference.
Ultra-thin format and easy installation
With a thickness of 1.2 inches, the HP Plus is designed to fit under most pedalboards. The included universal mounting brackets secure the installation, preventing the power supply from moving with the slightest shock, especially on tour or during frequent transport.
Immediate readability and optimized cabling
The HP Plus integrates an LED power meter to visualize consumption, and each output has its dedicated LED to quickly verify that it is active. Walrus Audio also provides custom 2.1 mm barrel cables, with a 90-degree plug on one end and an ultra-short straight plug on the other, very practical when space under the pedalboard is limited. Standard 2.1 mm barrel cables remain compatible.
Scalability: connectable version
Depending on the chosen configuration, the HP Plus can be standalone or connectable, designed to connect to another power supply via a 24 V power link. The benefit: extend a Canvas Power setup without adding an extra cable to the wall outlet.

Questions frequently asked
How many pedals can the Canvas Power HP Plus power?
The power supply features 11 outputs: seven isolated 9 V outputs up to 500 mA, two 9/12 V outputs at 3 A, and one variable 9/12/18 V output. This setup allows simultaneous powering of standard pedals and more demanding digital devices.
Are the 3 A outputs suitable for a modeler or a multi-effects unit?
Two outputs switchable between 9 V or 12 V each deliver up to 3 A, a capacity designed for high-consumption modelers and multi-effects units. Compatibility depends on the voltage, polarity, and connector required by the device to be powered.
Is this power supply silent with digital pedals?
The switching architecture, isolated outputs, and integrated filtering are designed to maintain a very low noise level in a pedalboard combining digital effects and high-gain pedals.
Can it be mounted under a pedalboard?
With a thickness of 25.5 mm and dimensions of 312 x 54 mm, this power supply has a slim form factor suitable for installation under most pedalboards. Universal mounting brackets are included to secure it in place.
Which cables are supplied with the power supply?
The kit includes five 18-inch right-angle to straight DC cables and three 36-inch models. It also includes two 2.1 mm cables with standard polarity, two with reversed polarity, and four 2.5 mm cables split between standard and reversed polarity. The custom plugs combine a 90-degree connector and an ultra-short straight connector.
