A fuzz designed as a texture laboratory

Fuzz is one of the very first iconic electric guitar effects: raw, expressive, capable of transforming a simple note into a wall of harmonics. This pedal carries that DNA forward with a more "studio" approach: instead of a single fixed character, it offers 5 modes that exploit different clipping recipes (silicon, germanium, LED) to multiply colors, compression, and feel under the fingers.

The idea is not just to gain more distortion but to vary the response : attack more or less sharp, sustain longer or shorter, bass more massive or tighter. This results in a fuzz covering a wide spectrum, from gritty and edgy saturation to thicker, rounder, even more "amp-like" sounds depending on the mode and voltage setting.

For whom, for which styles, and in what contexts?

This fuzz is aimed at guitarists who want a true palette without multiplying pedals: fans of vintage rock, garage, stoner, angry blues, indie, and even more modern contexts where a controllable and sculptable fuzz is sought. Thanks to the EQ settings and voltage management, it can stay clear in riffs or become deliberately wild in leads.

In live use, the On/Off footswitch and status LED offer immediate usability. In studio, the 5 modes and EQ allow fitting the fuzz into a mix: preserving full bass without muddiness, adding treble to bring out a melody, or conversely softening the attack for thicker pads. It also works very well as a "color" on a pedalboard, before delay/reverb, or combined with a boost/overdrive to thicken sustain.

Controls and features: from voltage to voicing

The front panel is designed to be straightforward yet very complete: Volume adjusts the output level, Gain sets the fuzz intensity, and the Mode selector changes the clipping structure and overall character. The Bass and Treble controls provide real flexibility: useful to compensate for a very bright guitar, add body to single coils, or tighten the low end if you play loud and low.

The pedal's signature is the Voltage control (from 3 V to 18 V ) which modifies the operating point: lowering the voltage yields a hungrier, more gated fuzz with shorter decay and choppier attack; increasing it produces a more open, stable sound with greater dynamics and a sense of headroom. This is an excellent tool to tailor the fuzz to your playing style: crisp palm-mutes, articulated riffs, or leads that need to breathe.

Regarding connectivity, it sticks to the essentials: asymmetrical input and output on 6.35mm mono jacks, plus a standard external power supply. The footswitch activates the effect, and the status LED instantly confirms if the fuzz is engaged.

The sound

Expect a fuzz that goes beyond "just a lot of gain." Depending on the mode, the pedal can deliver a gritty and edgy grain, very rich in harmonics, or a denser, more compressed saturation. The voltage setting acts as a true expression lever: at low voltage, the pedal becomes dirtier, more unpredictable, perfect for parts that need to snap and crackle; at high voltage, it gains openness, sustain, and a sense of control while remaining intensely fuzzy.

The bass and treble controls let you choose your place in the spectrum: big lows for stoner riffs, more present mid-highs to cut through a trio mix, or softer settings for chords and double-stops that stay musical. The dynamics remain very sensitive to playing and input level: lowering the guitar volume yields tamer sounds, while maxing out reveals the pedal's full personality.
