This pedal is the stereo version of the Julia Chorus, with an approach that stays true to the chorus/vibrato DNA: thickening the sound, adding depth, or making it undulate to a deliberately unstable effect. In the long history of modulation effects, chorus and vibrato have become essentials to bring a sense of width, depth, and "life" to a clean tone, as well as to add a moving dimension to more saturated sounds. Here, the goal is clear: to offer you a musical and controllable modulation, equally comfortable with subtle textures or pronounced effects.

For Whom and in What Contexts?

The Julianna is aimed at guitarists who want a modulation pedal capable of covering multiple roles : a discreet chorus to embellish an arpeggio, an expressive vibrato for lead parts, or a more radical modulation for psychedelic/indie/ambient atmospheres. It suits both beginners (simple settings to quickly get a beautiful chorus) and experienced players seeking fine control over movement and pitch sensation.

In the studio, its stereo capabilities and synchronization options (Tap Tempo) make it a formidable tool for placing a guitar in the mix without overpowering it. Live, the foot controls (Tap, Bypass) and "momentary" functions allow switching from a stable sound to a more extreme modulation on a chorus, transition, or build-up without complicating the pedalboard.

Controls, Modes, and Creative Functions

The pedal offers several operating modes: stereo, mono-stereo, and mono, to fit both simple setups (one amp) and rigs with two amps or stereo recording chains. In stereo, you benefit from a 100% wet output, ideal for building a wide image, laying down a dedicated modulated layer, or feeding a second effects channel.

Main adjustments revolve around Rate (modulation speed), Depth (intensity), and the very important Lag, which determines the tonal character of the chorus, from a slightly detuned sound to a more pronounced detune effect. The d-c-v control adjusts the balance between Dry and FX signals in mono output, a key point to dose the effect's presence while preserving the natural attack of your playing.

On the modulation side, you have a waveform selector (sine, square, random) to switch from smooth movement to a sharper effect or more organic variations. The Division switch allows working with tempo-related subdivisions, while the digital Tap Tempo (footswitch) simplifies rhythmic syncing with the song.

Going further, the Julianna includes the Drift function, which modulates the set LFO rate to avoid a too "mechanical" feel and add naturalness to the movement. It also offers a " Secondary Momentary LFO Rate " function designed for temporary ramp-up or ramp-down effects: a perfect tool to create intensity build-ups, dreamy transitions, or expressive shifts at phrase ends.

Finally, the pedal features a connection for an external clock (Tap In) or an expression pedal to control Rate and/or Depth. This transforms the modulation into a "playable" and dynamic effect, just like a wah or volume pedal.

The Sound

The sonic palette ranges from subtle chorus (ideal for thickening a clean tone, adding width and a sense of depth) to deliberately unstable vibrato, with that "seasickness" vibe sought after in some lo-fi, psychedelic, or ambient aesthetics. The Lag setting plays a decisive role in the feel: the more it pushes toward detuning, the more character and perceptible movement the effect gains, while remaining musical if you finesse Rate and Depth.
