Who Is It For, and What Styles?
This 4-string electric bass is aimed at demanding beginners up to intermediate players (and even experienced musicians looking for a serious backup bass). The active PJ configuration is ideal for covering many genres: rock, pop, funk, metal, punk, reggae, gospel, or variety. Thanks to the onboard EQ, you can quickly switch from a warm, enveloping tone to a sharper, more cutting sound-perfect for standing out in a band.
The Sound
The ash body delivers a clear attack and great definition, with present highs and articulated low-mids: an excellent foundation for a precise sound. The bolt-on neck (maple/ekanga) promotes responsiveness and punch, while the wenge fingerboard contributes to a fast playing feel and dynamic response, especially appreciated in slap and fingerstyle playing.
On the electronics side, the combination of active MEC P (roundness, foundation, and grain) and active MEC J (definition, bite, precision) offers true versatility. The Volume / Balance / Treble / Bass controls allow you to shape the sound directly on the instrument: solid lows to support the band, or boosted highs for more attack and presence. The result: an effective bass both in the studio and rehearsal, with a clear and adaptable sonic identity.
