For 2024, the Warwick RockBass range has been revamped with a clear goal: to offer instruments inspired by Warwick references while remaining accessible. It features the signature elements of the German brand: an instantly recognizable look, construction designed for stability, and a very "pro" approach to hardware. This 5-string RockBass serves as an ideal entry point into the Warwick universe without sacrificing the musical attributes that built its reputation.
For Which Bassist and Styles?
This 5-string electric bass is aimed at intermediate to advanced bassists seeking true versatility: pop, rock, funk, fusion, gospel, modern metal... The fifth string extends the range downward, perfect for low B riffs, thicker lines, and contemporary arrangements. The active electronics and simple EQ (bass/treble) allow quick sound adjustments during rehearsals, on stage, or in the home studio.
The Sound
The combination of an ash body and a bolt-on 3-piece maple and ekanga neck promotes a clear attack, good definition, and well-controlled low register, especially appreciated on 5-string models. The wenge fingerboard adds bite and a quick response feel under the fingers. On the electronics side, the MEC active P/J pickup duo offers a very musical balance: the P-style pickup provides body and punch, while the J adds precision and grain. With Volume / Balance / Treble / Bass controls, you can easily switch from a round, deep tone to a more snappy and articulated sound.
