A Yamaha study violin inspired by the "Stradivarius" tradition
Designed in the spirit of "Stradivarius"-type instruments, this Yamaha violin follows a very classical approach to lutherie: woods known for their musical qualities, careful workshop assembly, and a pursuit of acoustic coherence. The goal is clear: to offer an accessible study violin that retains the playing characteristics of a traditional instrument while providing the manufacturing consistency expected from a major brand.
For whom and for what use?
This 1/4 acoustic violin is particularly recommended for beginners, young children or students in conservatories/music schools needing a properly sized instrument. It is perfectly suited for first pieces, work on intonation and bowing, as well as classical and educational repertoires. Thanks to its complete equipment, it allows quick start of lessons and comfortable practice at home.
Sound
The spruce top contributes to clear projection and good responsiveness, appreciated for learning attacks and dynamics. The maple back and neck provide support, stability, and a structured tone, while the ebony fingerboard and fittings enhance playing precision and durability in the most stressed areas. The oil varnish, applied with a brush, is considered an integral element here: beyond aesthetics, it helps balance wood protection and acoustic breathing, for a homogeneous and pleasant response from the first notes.
Recommended compatible accessories
This violin is delivered with a case, bow, and rosin, so you already have the essentials to play. To maintain consistent comfort, a set of strings of the same model (Prelude) in 1/4 size is a safe option when replacing strings.
