An Intermediate Model Designed to Take You to the Next Level

The CG162C fits within the spirit of "advanced study" classical guitars: lutherie focused on musicality, with a coherent wood selection to gain harmonic richness and dynamics. Positioned between entry-level and higher-end models, it aims for the right balance between comfort, reliability, and expressiveness, to sustainably support the musician's progression.

For Which Guitarist and Styles?

This classical guitar is particularly suited for beginner-advanced to intermediate guitarists (conservatory students, serious return to playing, regular practice). It is perfectly suited for classical repertoire, arpeggios, bossa nova, and gentle accompaniment where precision of nuances and timbre control make the difference.

Sound Characteristics

The solid cedar top provides an immediately warm tone, with a soft attack and great sensitivity to nuances: pianissimos come out easily, and expressive passages gain roundness. The ovangkol back and sides help maintain solid projection and good chord clarity, with well-defined midrange. The rosewood fingerboard and bridge contribute to a balanced response and a stable feel under the fingers, useful for working on intonation, articulation, and legato.

Recommended Compatible Accessories

To respect the lutherie of a classical guitar, favor nylon strings (normal or high tension depending on your touch): they are suited to the format and use of this type of instrument.
