A Link Between the CP and YC Worlds
Presented as a complement to the CP and YC series, the CK76 brings together two approaches to keyboard playing: the expressiveness of stage pianos and the flexibility of organs and synthesizers. Its appeal lies in this versatility: switch from piano accompaniment to an expressive organ, then add a pad, without having to multiply the number of instruments on stage.
Keyboard Design
The configuration announced at the end of the description is based on a 76-key semi-weighted FSB keyboard, velocity-sensitive. This type of touch is suitable for versatile use, from electric piano chords and synthesizer lines to organ playing. However, other data mentions an 88-key weighted GHS keyboard. The exact configuration should therefore be confirmed before purchase.
Sound Quality
The sound engine combines AWM2 technology and dedicated organ flutes. The 363 announced voices cover the essential families: acoustic and electric pianos, organs, strings, brass and synthesizers. The maximum 128-voice polyphony provides welcome headroom for layering and sustained chords.
For working without any additional setup, the description announces two built-in speakers and 2 x 6 W amplification. The stereo line outputs allow connection to a mixing console or sound system, while the headphone output makes silent practice easy.
Built-in effects
- Reverb and delay to give pianos, pads and solo parts more space.
- Chorus, Phaser and Tremolo to enhance electric pianos and modulated textures.
- Overdrive and Rotary effect to shape the character of organ sounds.
- Overall equalization and brightness control, with effects controls conveniently accessible on the front panel.
