Within the Clavinova range, the CSP series stands out with an approach centered on daily musician support: a cabinet in the upright piano format, an ambitious piano-playing experience, and above all modern control via Smart Pianist. The goal is clear: to regain the feel and musicality of an acoustic piano while benefiting from learning and arranger tools (styles, songs, guiding functions) that turn every session into a motivating playing moment, at home or in the classroom.

Keyboard Design

The GrandTouch 88-key keyboard combines a linear graded hammer mechanism (88-key Linear Graded Hammers), counterweights for a more natural response, and an escapement promoting control in pianissimo playing and repetitions. The white wooden keys (white only) and the ebony/synthetic ivory coatings provide a pleasant feel and better grip. The sensitivity is adjustable (Soft2, Soft1, Medium, Hard1, Hard2, Fixed) to suit your technique, from beginner to advanced pianist.

Sound Quality

The sound generation relies on the concert grand pianos Yamaha CFX and Bosendorfer Imperial, with binaural sampling (for "CFX Grand" and "Bosendorfer") to achieve a more immersive stereo image when using headphones. The Virtual Resonance Modeling (VRM) and Grand Expression Modeling technologies enrich the sound by recreating the resonances and expressive variations typical of an acoustic piano, while the Key-off Samples and Smooth Release refine note endings and releases. The maximum 256-voice polyphony secures dense passages with sustain and accompaniments, and the onboard library offers 872 voices + 47 Drum/SFX kits, with compatibility for XG, GS, GM, GM2. On the amplification side, the (50 W + 50 W + 40 W) x 2 amplifiers power a speaker system of (16 cm + 8 cm + 2.5 cm dome with bidirectional horn) x 2, featuring spruce cones and immersion-dedicated technologies such as Grand Acoustic Imaging.
