Keyboard Design

The GrandTouch-S keyboard offers a graded hammer action with 88 keys featuring progressive weighted touch: the lower keys require more pressure, just like on an acoustic piano. The solid wood keys provide natural stability and inertia, while the velocity sensitivity faithfully translates every nuance of playing for total control over timbre and dynamics.

Sound Quality

At the heart of the P-525, the sampling of Yamaha CFX and Bösendorfer Imperial concert pianos ensures a wide variety of tonal colors, from bright and incisive to rich and singing bass notes. The Grand Expression Modeling reproduces micro-variations in touch, and the Virtual Resonance Modeling (VRM) finely simulates the interactions of the soundboard and strings. With 44 voices + 480 XG tones, a 256-note polyphony, and a 2-way 20 W + 6 W x 2 amplification system oriented towards the performer, you enjoy a broad and precise sound, both on headphones and on stage thanks to the Stereophonic Optimizer.
