Within the YC range (YC61/YC73/YC88), the YC88 is the flagship model aimed at pianists: natural wood weighted action, organ drawbar control, and sound engines inherited from Yamaha's best technologies. The YC OS v2.0 update further establishes it as a reference for modern stage pianos.

Keyboard Design

88-key NW-GH3 (Natural Wood Graded Hammer): natural wood white keys with graded weighting, triple sensor for fast repetition, synthetic ebony surface for grip, adjustable velocity response, and balanced touch feel designed for advanced piano playing.

Sound Quality

VCM Organ, AWM2, and FM engines working in concert: modeled organs with character and harmonic leakage, pianos/EPs and acoustic instruments sampled with AWM2, expressive FM tones. OS v2.0 introduces the CFX2 concert grand piano (elaborate samples, optimized resonance, wide dynamic range) and faithful 80s-flavored GS1 FM voices. The YC88 has no built-in speakers: it delivers its full range via professional line outputs, with comfortable polyphony for the stage.
