A "rack" version designed for the stage, without compromising the LiveTrak DNA
The LiveTrak L-20R retains the spirit of the console version but optimizes it for setups where space matters: rack mounting, fixed installation, touring fly-rack, or rehearsal control room. It features the same concept that made the "L" family successful: a solid front-of-house mix, independent monitor mixes, and a standalone multitrack recorder on SD card. The result: you centralize sound reinforcement, monitors, and recording with a single device that's easier to transport and integrate into an existing system.
Who the L-20R is for and in which applications it makes a difference
The Zoom LiveTrak L-20R is aimed at bands and technicians who want a reliable system to manage in-ear monitors, wedges, or headphones during rehearsals while maintaining the ability to record each source separately. In live settings, it simplifies monitor management thanks to 6 dedicated mixes, and in mobile studios, it becomes a quick solution to record a full session without a computer. Finally, in hybrid setups, you can record to SD while sending audio to your DAW via USB, convenient for securing takes or working in post-production.
iPad control, multiple monitors, and integrated processing: a modern workflow
Smooth mixing, even without a front-of-house console
The great strength of the L-20R is monitor and mixing management from iPad: the Master mixer is controlled via Bluetooth with the BTA-1 adapter, and up to 6 additional iPads can connect via WiFi to give each musician control over their personal mix. Fewer trips to the mixer, fewer compromises, and more autonomous musicians on stage.
Precise per-channel settings and ready-to-use effects
Each channel benefits from processing tools designed for speed and quality: variable high-pass filter to clean the lows, 3-band EQ with semi-parametric mid to sculpt each instrument's space, compression on channels 1 to 16 to stabilize vocals, bass, or guitar, and two internal multi-effects with 20 built-in effects to add depth without external gear. On the Master output, the 15-band graphic EQ helps adjust the sound system and tame problematic frequencies.
Standalone multitrack recorder + audio interface: total versatility
The L-20R records up to 22 simultaneous tracks on SD card, with playback of up to 20 tracks and an auto start/stop function that secures your recordings. At the same time, it can operate as a USB audio interface with 22 inputs / 4 outputs, allowing recording into a DAW, virtual soundcheck, or integrating playback monitors. The USB port also offers class-compliant mode for iOS compatibility, project import/export, card reader, and adjustable A/D latency settings.
