Designed for 5-string basses, the Aguilar Soapbar DCB Kit Type D2 aims for an ideal balance between depth, clarity, and musicality. Its full-bodied tone adds weight to the lows while maintaining present mids and clear highs, allowing you to stay perfectly audible in the mix, both in the studio and on stage. If you're looking for a bass pickup capable of faithfully translating playing nuances, finger attacks, pick strokes, or slap techniques, this DCB is a particularly inspiring choice.
For which bassists and styles?
This kit is intended for demanding musicians who want a modern, rich, and expressive tone without sacrificing reliability. In jazz, it highlights the grain and subtlety of dynamics. In rock, it strengthens the foundation and presence. In funk, it maintains the definition and impact necessary for clean, articulate grooves. The result: a versatile pickup capable of following your playing with precision, whatever your range.
Advanced winding: more harmonics, more presence
