In the Line of Reference Digital Stage Solutions
Designed from the start to integrate with the X32 series, the S16 transmits audio and remote control on stage via AES50. It advantageously replaces heavy multicore cables, reduces the risk of "buzz" between front of house and stage, and relies on the shared MIDAS/KLARK TEKNIK heritage in preamplification and reliable network transport.

The S16 is suitable for live providers, concert halls, theaters, houses of worship, and schools seeking quick setup, simplified cabling, and instant gain recall. Its daisy-chain topology allows adding a second S16 without a router, ideal for extending inputs at stage front or backline side.

Is the Behringer S16 compatible with an X32 mixer?
Designed for the X32 series, this unit transmits audio and remote control via AES50. The MIDAS-designed preamps can be controlled from the mixer, with gain settings recall.
How many S16 units can be linked in cascade?
A second unit can be added directly in series thanks to the dual AES50 port, without a router.
What is the maximum network cable length possible with this digital snake?
The AES50 link can reach 100 m with a CAT5 cable. This distance allows connection between the control room and stage while limiting the use of analog multicore cables.
Can the S16 power a P16 personal monitoring system?
A dedicated connector for the P16 system is provided for musicians' personal monitoring. ADAT optical outputs also allow sending mixes to in-ear racks or a recorder.
