An entry-level flamenca faithful to the "Principio" spirit
"Principio" means beginning: this series was designed to accompany the first years of playing with serious lutherie and refined aesthetics. It features a traditional approach to the flamenco guitar, enriched with valuable details such as the wooden mosaic rosette and gold tuners, to offer an inspiring instrument from the very first chords.
For whom, and for which styles?
The Principio Flamenco CA-PM-F is mainly aimed at beginners (and intermediate guitarists looking for a workhorse guitar) who want a quick response under the fingers. It is particularly suitable for flamenco (rasgueados, golpes, percussive rhythms), but also remains relevant for classical guitar when a clear attack and dynamic playing are desired.
Sound
The solid spruce top provides clarity and excellent projection: the sound starts quickly, with a precise attack, highly appreciated for flamenco's nuances and articulation. The back and sides in agathis complete the set with a balanced output and good stability, while the ovangkol fingerboard and bridge promote a direct response and a firm playing feel. The matte micro-porous finish, thinner and less "blocking" than a thick varnish, contributes to freer wood vibration. Finally, the special treatment designed for a percussive sound enhances the "dry" and rhythmic character sought after in a flamenca, especially with the Hannabach strings and their more incisive Sol3 Carbon.
