A Breadboard Designed for DIY "Pedal Builders": The Most Complete Version of the Range

In the DIY world, the breadboard (solderless test board) is the key step to move from a schematic to a circuit that really works, without immediately committing to a PCB. The CopperSound Breadboard Deluxe follows this principle but adapts it to the very practical constraints of guitar pedals: quick connections, A/B testing, simple power supply, and stable working ergonomics.

Within the CopperSound family, the Deluxe version stands as the most ambitious: it retains the simplicity of a breadboard while adding a stereo approach and TRS Expression connectivity to go far beyond classic mono prototypes.

For Whom, For Which Projects, In What Contexts?

The Breadboard Deluxe is aimed at musician-tinkerers, modders, audio electronics students, and anyone who wants to design (or understand) pedal circuits: overdrive, fuzz, boost, EQ, but also more demanding architectures like stereo and dual-channel setups.

On a workbench, it saves precious time: you build, you listen, you correct. In a "pedalboard" context, it can also serve as a testing and validation station before finalizing a circuit in an enclosure format, especially when you are looking for the right balance between output level, noise, headroom, and dynamic response.

Features and Ergonomics: Everything Is Ready to Wire, Power, and Compare

The strong point of this breadboard is integration: instead of multiplying adapters and flying cables, you have an interface designed as a "guitar effect pedal". The audio jacks are already in place, the power jack is positioned correctly, and the bypass switches allow you to instantly compare your direct signal and your circuit.

The Deluxe version adds a dual-channel logic: you can work in stereo or process two separate paths (for example, two drive stages) and evaluate them independently. The TRS Expression connectivity finally allows prototyping control inputs, very useful for modern effects (blend control, depth, rate, filter, etc.).

The integrated headers simplify power rail distribution and signal routing, and the mounting holes help secure the board on a work surface to keep wiring clean and reliable during iterations.

Sound Character

The CopperSound Breadboard Deluxe is not an effect: it does not add any "color" by itself. Its value lies in letting you hear exactly what your circuit does to the signal and offering immediate comparisons via the bypass. Result: you better judge the dynamics, headroom, compression, grain, and background noise of a prototype without wasting time on connections.

In stereo, you can validate channel coherence (level, frequency response, sense of width) and more easily track behavioral differences between two sections that are identical on paper.
