Cort Sunset Nylectric DLX TSB - Refurbished

A Vintage-Inspired Sunset Electro-Classical Guitar

The Cort Sunset Nylectric DLX captures the visual spirit of retro guitars while adapting it to the needs of today’s guitarists. Its distinctive pickguard, Tobacco Sunburst finishing and gold hardware give it a particularly elegant presence, while its electro-classical design prioritizes comfort and versatility.

Within the Sunset range, this Nylectric DLX version stands out with its nylon-string configuration and construction designed for musicians looking to rediscover the supple touch and rounded tone of classical strings in a modern-format instrument. The spruce top, dressed with a flamed maple veneer, adds a refined aesthetic without compromising the guitar’s warm character.

A Modern Nylon-String Guitar for the Stage, Studio and Home

This nylon-string electro-acoustic guitar is suitable for intermediate guitarists as well as experienced musicians looking for a comfortable, expressive instrument that is easy to amplify. Its 48 mm / 1.89" nut width provides spacing suited to fingerstyle playing, detailed arpeggios and extended chords, while remaining more accessible than a traditional classical guitar with a very wide neck.

The Sunset Nylectric DLX is particularly at home in bossa nova, Latin jazz, acoustic pop, singer-songwriter music, light flamenco, world music and fingerstyle arrangements. Thanks to its hybrid format and onboard electronics, it is also an excellent solution for electric or acoustic guitarists who want to add the color of nylon strings to their sonic palette without radically changing their playing habits.

Mahogany Warmth and Nylon-String Precision

The combination of a spruce top and chambered mahogany body gives this guitar a balanced, smooth and nuanced voice. Spruce promotes a defined attack, helping each note stand out in arpeggios and melodies. Mahogany, meanwhile, adds warm roundness, rich mids and a pleasing response in the lower registers.

The chambered body contributes to the overall resonance while keeping the instrument easy to handle. The ebony key and bridge contribute to the precision of the attack and the clarity of the notes, while the Graph Tech TUSQ saddles promote efficient vibration transfer between the strings, neck and body. The result is a defined tone with natural sustain suited to expressive phrasing.

For amplification, the Fishman Sonicore pickup faithfully reproduces the nuances of the Savarez 500CJ strings. The Fishman VTB EQ allows you to adjust the sound according to the room acoustics, a sound system or a recording interface. It helps maintain a balanced response, with silky highs, present mids and pleasing warmth in the bass.

Recommended Compatible Accessories

To preserve the original playing feel and tonal balance, we recommend using Savarez 500CJ nylon-string sets, identical to those fitted on the instrument. The guitar comes with a Premium gig bag, making it practical for everyday transport and protection against dust.
