A design inherited from the 2000 series, engineered for precision

The 2011C continues the legacy of the 2000 series capsules, known for their technical approach focused on consistency and directivity control. Its construction is based on two pre-polarized diaphragms integrated into two miniature capsules positioned face-to-face, combined with interference tubes. The goal is clear: to create a compact cardioid microphone capable of maintaining a stable frequency response while preserving controlled directivity, even when the source moves, the environment is noisy, or placement must be "to the millimeter."

Who the 2011C is for: studio, live, and demanding recordings

The 2011C targets sound engineers, live technicians, home studio users, and content creators who want a reliable, discreet, and easy-to-place microphone. Its compactness is an immediate advantage for tight setups: drums, percussion, brass, guitar amps, piano, film sets, or fixed installations. Where a larger microphone hinders placement or forces compromises, the 2011C facilitates orientation, reduces clutter, and speeds up setup.

Its ability to handle very high levels (up to 146 dB SPL) also makes it a reassuring choice for dynamic and unpredictable sources. When capturing a performance without fear of distortion and without losing clarity, this microphone provides a valuable safety margin, both for live and recording situations.

Key features: control, dynamics, and quick integration

Cardioid to isolate the source and keep a clean mix

With its cardioid directivity, the 2011C helps prioritize the targeted source and limit ambient bleed. This is an asset for gaining definition, reducing feedback risks on stage, and facilitating mixing. This cardioid pattern, supported by interference tubes, aims for more precise off-axis behavior control to maintain an exploitable sound even in challenging conditions.

Dual pre-polarized diaphragm: coherence and extended response

The dual pre-polarized diaphragm design contributes to recording stability and detailed reproduction across the entire spectrum, with a stated frequency response of 20 Hz to 20,000 Hz. The expected result is a microphone that is both precise for transients and sufficiently broad to reproduce fundamentals, without imposing an excessive character that would complicate equalization.

Wide dynamic range and standard power supply

With a dynamic range of 117 dB, the 2011C is designed to handle level variations without collapsing or making the recording fragile. The 48 Volt phantom power ensures immediate integration with most preamps, audio interfaces, analog and digital consoles, whether in the studio or on tour.
