A polyphonic analog synth inspired by mythology and Dreadbox heritage
With Artemis, Dreadbox brings its analog expertise into a desktop polyphonic synthesizer with a strong identity. Its name refers to the Greek goddess of the hunt and wilderness, a figure that is both precise, protective, and elusive. This mythological reference perfectly reflects the instrument’s character: direct, lively, and wide, yet capable of finesse in textures and sonic movement.
An instrument designed for keyboardists, producers, and sound designers
The Dreadbox Artemis is aimed at musicians seeking the warmth of an analog polysynth without sacrificing a modern approach to sound. Its six voices allow for rich chords, evolving pads, harmonic sequences, polyphonic basses, and expressive leads. In the studio, it integrates easily into a MIDI setup; on stage, it can be controlled by a keyboard or a sequencer equipped with a DIN5 MIDI output.
Analog synthesis enhanced by Sinevibes stereo effects
Artemis combines classic analog synthesis with a high-quality stereo effects section developed by Sinevibes. The four effect types are arranged in series and offer multiple algorithms, opening the door to wide, textured, and dynamic sounds. The stereo spread control for both voices and effects allows precise shaping of the sound space, from centered and dense tones to immersive panoramic pads.

Questions frequently asked
Is the Dreadbox Artemis polyphonic?
This model features 6 voices of polyphony, allowing for the playing of chords and evolving pads. Its synthesis is based on 2 VCOs per voice with continuous waveshaping.
What analog filters are integrated?
The filtering section includes a resonant low-pass selectable between 12 dB or 24 dB, as well as a resonant high-pass filter at 12 dB. This architecture allows shaping the timbre's density and brightening the low frequencies.
Is Artemis compatible with MIDI and MPE?
MPE compatibility is announced, with velocity support. The MIDI connectivity includes DIN5 In and Out ports, as well as MIDI over USB. A master keyboard or MIDI sequencer can thus control the instrument.
What effects are available on this synth?
Four types of stereo effects developed by Sinevibes are arranged in series. The stereo spread control affects the spatialization of voices and effects.
What audio outputs are available?
Two mono TS 6.35 mm jack outputs and a headphone output on a 6.35 mm jack are available.
