A modern flanger inspired by the great classics... and much further
The flanger was born from "old-school" tape tricks, where a copy of the signal was slightly slowed down to create those cancellations and that recognizable movement. Pyramids takes this founding idea and projects it into a resolutely modern approach: from a massive "jet engine" flanger to a very authentic through-zero, including continuous "barber pole" sweeps that give the impression of infinite movement.
Built on the brand's proprietary DSP architecture (the same philosophy as the Avalanche Run), Pyramids is not just a simple flanger: it is a true modulation instrument, designed to move from subtle textures to experimental soundscapes without losing control in real situations.
Who it's for, and in which styles Pyramids makes a difference
Pyramids is aimed both at guitarists looking for a versatile flanger to enrich a clean or crunch tone, and at texture-oriented musicians (post-rock, ambient, electro, noise, prog) who want to transform modulation into a full rhythmic and harmonic element. Thanks to stereo, it naturally finds its place on a "wet/dry" pedalboard, in an effects loop, or directly in stereo input on an audio interface.
In live settings, presets and tap tempo simplify life: you recall a sound locked to the song's tempo and stay focused on playing. In the studio, Step and Random modes provide "sequenced" movements that sit very well on guitars, basses, synths, and even drum machines.

Questions frequently asked
Does the Earthquaker Pyramids operate in stereo?
The left/right inputs and outputs allow for stereo operation with panning across the stereo field. A mono source can enter on the left and be output on both outputs to two amps or an audio interface.
What flanger modes are available?
Eight modes are offered: Classic, Through-Zero, Barber Pole Up, Barber Pole Down, Trigger Up, Trigger Down, Step, and Random. The Step and Random modes create stepped or random movements, while Trigger Up and Down respond to a trigger.
Can presets be saved and tap tempo used?
The Presets selector provides access to Live mode and 5 rewritable slots. The Tap/Trigger footswitch sets the tempo in six modes, including Classic, Through-Zero, and Random. In Trigger Up and Trigger Down modes, this footswitch functions as a trigger.
What power supply is required for this pedal?
A 9 V DC center-negative power supply is required, with a current draw of 460 mA. The included 9 V DC 1 A power supply is recommended; some isolated power supplies may work with a current doubler cable.
Can an expression pedal control the flanger?
The Manual control, which affects the delay time of the modulated signal, can be controlled by an expression pedal.
