Ideal for intermediate to advanced guitarists focused on rock, hard rock, and metal, this EVH excels at heavy riffs, precise palm-muting, and fast solos. The single volume control simplifies the signal path for immediate response, while the Floyd Rose allows dive-bombs and extreme vibratos without losing tuning.

Sound

The basswood body offers a present and balanced midrange, perfect for cutting through the mix. The maple neck and fingerboard provide attack and clarity. The EVH Wolfgang humbucker, mounted directly into the body (without suspension screws), enhances vibration transfer and sustain. The result is a tight grain, rich in harmonics, that remains defined under heavy saturation. The compound 12"-16" radius facilitates chords at the lower frets and ensures smooth bends without fret buzz in the upper register. The locking Floyd Rose stabilizes tuning; the D-Tuna allows instant Drop D tuning for heavier riffs.
