The Sound

The combination of a alder body and maple neck delivers a very "Jazz Bass" balance: firm low end, articulated mids, and clear highs. The American Vintage Jazz Bass single-coil pickups offer great dynamics: sharp attack at the bridge for cutting through the mix, warmer roundness at the neck side, and a very usable palette by blending the two volumes. The pau ferro fretless fingerboard, coated with a urethane finish, promotes consistent sustain and comfortable gliding while protecting the surface over time.
