A Reinvented Fulltone Classic

Having become iconic from its first iteration, the Ultimate Octave returns with a refined design and premium components. It follows in the footsteps of the great octave-fuzz pedals of the 70s, inspired by legendary circuits like the Octavia and Foxx Tone Machine, while offering modern stability and ergonomics. This is Fulltone?s vision of a vintage standard made reliable and stage-ready.

For Which Guitarists and Styles

Perfect for intermediate to professional players, it covers blues-rock, classic rock, garage, stoner, psych, indie, and shoegaze. Whether in the studio or live, its compact size and top jacks optimize space, while the octave-up adds spectacular depth to solos and unison riffs. It pairs especially well with the neck pickup and responds sensitively to the guitar?s volume knob.

Stage-Ready Controls and Features

Three intuitive knobs control the core sound: Volume, Fuzz, and Tone to shape balance and attack. The mini ?Fat/Bright? switch reshapes the EQ: Fat mode adds warmth and mids, Bright mode scoops effectively with emphasized bass and treble. Two independent footswitches allow instant activation of fuzz and octave. Top-mounted jack inputs optimize wiring; true bypass ensures signal integrity throughout your effects chain.

Sound Character

Big, rich, and full of harmonics, the Ultimate Octave ranges from creamy sustain to a biting ?velcro? texture when the octave is engaged. The high end remains focused and cutting to cut through the mix, while the low end stays full-bodied without muddiness. Highly responsive to pick attack and guitar volume, it cleans up smoothly for vintage-style, edgy fuzz textures. The octave-up shines for Hendrix-style phrasing or modern bursts à la Jack White, especially near the 12th fret with the neck pickup.
