A Bridge Model Between Digital Piano and KORG Arranger

With the XE20, KORG offers a hybrid instrument combining the comfort of an 88-note digital piano and the spontaneity of an arranger. Its clear goal is to provide a unique keyboard for home playing, accompanying vocals or instruments, working on harmony, and progressing towards small group performances. Its place in the lineup stands out by striking a successful balance between piano sounds inspired by the "KRONOS" lineage and comprehensive accompaniment functions, without unnecessary complexity.

Keyboard Design

The KORG XE20 features an 88-note graded hammer action keyboard with a heavy touch, firmer in the bass and lighter in the treble, to respect the natural response of an acoustic piano. The velocity sensitivity (4 levels) allows you to adjust dynamics to your playing, from pianissimo to fortissimo. To enrich your arrangements, the Split and Layer (Dual) modes facilitate keyboard organization (left-hand bass, right-hand piano, layered pads, etc.).

Sound Quality

The sound engine is based on a stereo PCM generation with multi-sampled samples, offering clear attacks, credible sustain, and an immediately rewarding musical rendering. The two grand pianos inspired by Bösendörfer and Fazioli provide a solid foundation for piano repertoire, while the 705 sounds expand the palette to electro keyboards, strings, brass, guitars, and modern textures. With a polyphony of 184 voices and built-in 18 W x2 amplification, the XE20 remains comfortable for headphone playing, living room use, or rehearsals, even on dense pieces with accompaniment.
