12-inch coaxial design: coherence, precision and a "natural" sound

The 12-inch woofer (3-inch voice coil, custom-built) and tweeter (titanium diaphragm, 3 inches) are mounted in a coaxial configuration with a shared magnetic circuit. This architecture is designed to provide improved time coherence and a more consistent phase response, resulting in highly intelligible sound: vocals, guitars, brass and percussion attacks gain definition while retaining a uniform projection.

BEM rotatable horn: putting the energy where it belongs

The large constant-directivity rotatable horn, optimized using BEM, provides a uniform stated dispersion of 90deg x 50deg. Its design enables horn loading for both the low and high frequencies, concentrating sound energy down into the midrange (approximately 600 Hz) while maintaining control in acoustically demanding environments. In practice, this helps to better "aim" at the listening area, limit unwanted reflections and improve intelligibility.

Powerful low end in full range mode and Class D amplification

Thanks to its optimized bass-reflex ports, the ICOA PRO 12 A reaches down to 53 Hz and delivers convincing reproduction in full range configuration. Its Class D amplification provides up to 1000 W continuous power (2000 W peak) and a maximum level of 133 dB SPL, with dynamic headroom designed to maintain powerful, clean sound even as the volume increases.

SysCore DSP, presets, EQ and Delay: quick adaptation to the room

The SysCore DSP incorporates FIR/IIR filters, a crossover and sophisticated limiters to preserve clarity and operational safety, even at high levels. The settings are designed to be effective in real-world use: 4 application presets (including a low-latency mode for stage monitoring), a Delay function, as well as 4-band parametric EQs on the input and output channels, allowing the response to be adjusted precisely according to the source, position (on a stand, as a wedge or flown) and acoustics.

Intuitive interface and wireless control

Navigation is handled via a color screen and a single encoder for quick access to essential parameters. For more advanced control, the free "ICOA PRO" app enables remote control from a smartphone or tablet, the pairing of multiple loudspeakers, and the quick creation of a stereo setup with up to two loudspeakers and four subwoofers. Music streaming is managed via Bluetooth 5.1, with TWS for stereo playback between two ICOA PRO 12 A units.
