A New Approach to High-End Multi-Effects

The MELOFTY Axom Max is not simply designed to stack amp simulations and virtual pedals: it is a complete hybrid processor built to bring sound creation, live performance, recording and production together in a single pedalboard. Its three dual-core chip architecture allows it to run two complex chains, real-time vocal processing, synthesizer sounds and advanced modeling simultaneously.

At the heart of the unit, MFIM technology, short for "Multidimensional Fusion Inverse Modeling", aims to go beyond a static capture. Each model is based on thousands of parameters to reproduce the evolving behavior of an overdrive, preamp, amp head or cabinet. The Axom Max is therefore aimed at guitarists who want to centralize their rig without sacrificing in-depth control.

A Command Center for Guitarists, Bassists, Singers and Sound Creators

The Axom Max is equally suited to experienced musicians building an advanced digital pedalboard and solo artists looking to manage guitar, vocals, loops and backing tracks from a single unit. Its routing options, foot controls and numerous inputs/outputs make it a serious partner for the stage, rehearsals, home studios or professional recording sessions.

Rock, blues, pop, metal, funk, ambient and worship guitarists will find a vast range of amps, cabinets and effects. More adventurous musicians can explore synths, acoustic and traditional instrument models, as well as vocal processing functions to create complete arrangements without adding external modules.

Capture, Synthesis and Routing: A Creative Machine Without Boundaries

The multi-effects unit includes more than 880 effects and models, including over 400 amps, 90 cabinets, 130 effects across 16 categories, more than 50 synthesizer sounds and over 70 instrument models. The DeepSynth engine responds directly to the guitar's picking dynamics and playing, without requiring a MIDI pickup, transforming notes into synth textures, organs, brass, strings or traditional instruments.

The AI Tone Model function lets you request a type of sound using simple words, such as an ’80s-style British overdrive, in order to generate a coherent amp and effects setup. For users who prefer to stay in control, chains A and B can each accommodate up to 9 blocks, with series, parallel, split-mix or A/B-Y routing.

The 7-inch color touchscreen switches between "Stage View" and "Edit View" modes. The 9 footswitches can be configured in RIG, SUBPATCH, STOMP or HYBRID modes to call up presets, scenes, individual effects or a combination of all four. The integrated expression pedal controls volume or assigned parameters, while a dedicated input allows a third external expression pedal to be added.

The Sound

The Axom Max delivers a modern, precise and highly adaptable sound. Its strength lies less in a single color than in its ability to move from a spacious, detailed clean to organic crunch, dense overdrive, deep ambient textures or expressive synthetic sounds. MFIM modeling aims to preserve the dynamic, gain and picking variations inherent to the captured equipment.

Cabinet simulations and impulse responses provide a credible foundation for playing directly into a front-of-house system, an audio interface or headphones. Thanks to the two independent chains, it is easy to keep a defined guitar sound while adding a pad, an octave, a stereo ambience or vocal processing. The result is equally well suited to highly produced sounds and understated settings that respond naturally to the guitar's volume.
