A Logical Evolution of the SGI, Adapted to Current Stereo Setups

The SGI Stereo continues a concept that has become essential in professional environments: distancing amplifiers, isolating speaker cabinets, or crossing a stage without suffering the limitations of long instrument cables. Where a traditional setup multiplies cables and complicates patching, this system adopts the "line driver" approach and extends it to two independent channels, perfectly suited for modern rigs.

The principle is simple and effective: an SGI Stereo TX transmitter and an SGI Stereo RX receiver carry two analog signals over a single RJ45 Cat5 link. You gain cable management clarity, faster setup, and reliability over long distances, while maintaining a natural playing feel at your fingertips.

For Which Musicians, Technicians, and Setups?

The SGI Stereo is designed for guitarists and bassists whose sound lives in stereo (delays, reverbs, modulation) or bi-amping, as well as keyboardists who switch between dual mono and stereo depending on the songs. It naturally integrates into complex pedalboards, touring racks, and studio control rooms where amplifiers are placed remotely, in isolation booths, or out of microphone range.

From a technical standpoint, it is also a comfortable solution for stage crews and sound engineers seeking clean cabling: a single RJ45 Cat5 cable for two channels, fewer cables on the floor, less risk of tangling, and faster deployment when the stage demands significant distances.

Reliable Connectivity and Signal Quality-Focused Design

Long-Distance Transmission over RJ45 Cat5

The SGI Stereo TX/RX duo allows sending two channels of analog audio via a single RJ45 Cat5 Ethernet cable, up to 100 m depending on the cable and installation conditions. The benefit is immediate: you keep your instrument cables short (where it matters most) and entrust the long distance to a connection designed to be stable and easy to deploy.

On the field, the lockable RJ45 etherCON connectors on the transmitter and receiver provide reassuring mechanical durability, especially on tour or busy stages. Compatibility with Neutrik lockable etherCON connectors facilitates integration into already standardized infrastructures.

Jensen Transformers and Polarity Management

The SGI Stereo relies on Jensen transformers to preserve your instrument's character and contain noise in demanding environments. This approach aims for faithful reproduction, with solid low-end response and useful precision in the highs, without hardening the signal.

At the receiver, the left/right Thru outputs allow practical signal redistribution to feed local amplifiers or organize more flexible patching. The 180deg polarity inversion switch adds valuable security to correct phase inconsistencies depending on amplifiers, cabling, or placement, maintaining a stable stereo image.
