A pedal derived from the Shawn Tubbs signature, in a compact format

The Tilt Boost uses the boost circuit and the spirit of the "Tilt" equalization from the Shawn Tubbs signature Tilt Overdrive, with a more direct approach and reduced footprint for modern pedalboards. The idea is simple: quickly achieve a more "finished" sound (attack, clarity, low-end management) without multiplying settings, whether in the studio or on stage. The added feature of this version: a dedicated Drive voicing to thicken the signal when a simple boost isn't enough.

The REVV Tilt Boost is aimed at guitarists of all levels looking for an effective tool to adapt their sound on the fly. It excels in blues/rock to push an amp to the edge of crunch, but it is equally formidable in modern rock and metal to tighten the low end, improve articulation, and bring out palm mutes. On stage, it simplifies life: one setting and you find your place in the mix. In recording, it serves as a quick "fine-tuning" tool when you change guitars, pickups, or tunings.

Settings and operation: simplicity, precision, and true low-end control

The pedal goes straight to the point, but every control is usable. The Boost potentiometer adjusts the output level (with a wide range to drive an amp's input). The Tilt EQ acts like a seesaw: by adjusting a single knob, you modify the balance between bass and treble to gain attack and definition, or conversely recover body if your setup becomes too bright. The Tight switch (3 positions) adjusts bass attenuation independently of the Tilt: perfect for keeping a tight and focused sound with humbuckers, cascading gain pedals, or an already saturated amp. Finally, the Drive switch activates a thicker, more intense overdrive: handy to transform an "always-on" boost into a true solo mode without changing your entire effects chain.

The sound

The Tilt Boost has a very musical character: it can remain transparent and simply add level, but its true playground is the "high definition" feel it imparts to the signal. The Tilt EQ allows you to go from a sharp brilliance (attack, clarity, presence) to a rounder, denser tone while maintaining excellent clarity. The Tight switch helps avoid "muddy" sounds when increasing volume or stacking gain: the low end stays controlled, playing is more precise, and the mix breathes better. In Drive mode, the attack becomes thicker, with a touch-responsive overdrive ideal for singing leads and more assertive riffs.
