Pad and high-pass filter: a real time saver at mixdown

The three-position pad (0, -10 dB, -20 dB) helps maintain headroom on powerful sources and avoid saturating the input stage of your audio interface or preamp. The three-stage high-pass filter (flat, 75 Hz, 150 Hz) is equally useful for reducing vibrations, handling noise, ventilation hum, or proximity effect, while lightening the low end before conversion. The result: cleaner, more usable takes, and a mix that starts on better foundations.

With its 1/2-inch gold-sputtered condenser capsule and extended frequency response, the NT55 aims for a smooth and balanced sound while retaining the definition expected from a small diaphragm mic.
