A C-1 Designed for Performance in the "SLS" Spirit

The C-1 SLS Custom fits into Schecter's "speed & precision" approach: a solid body electric guitar designed to chain fast riffs, powerful chords, and demanding solos without compromise. Its neck-through construction and stage/studio-oriented finishes make it an instrument tailored for guitarists seeking a modern, reliable, and instantly inspiring response.

For Whom, and in Which Styles?

With its thin neck, highly refined upper fret access, and versatile electronics, this Schecter mainly targets intermediate to advanced guitarists (modern rock, metal, prog, fusion). However, it remains accessible if you are a serious beginner looking for a "long-term" guitar: the playing comfort and accuracy across the entire neck help progress quickly, especially in tight rhythm playing and lead.

The Sound

The swamp ash body provides a dynamic response, with firm lows and defined highs, ideal for precise saturated tones as well as articulated cleans. The neck-through construction promotes generous sustain and a sense of continuity between attacks and sustained notes. The ebony fingerboard enhances clarity and attack, while the X-Jumbo stainless steel frets add precision and very smooth gliding.

Regarding pickups, the Fishman Fluence Modern set covers a wide palette: the Ceramic at the bridge excels in sharp riffs and tight palm-mutes, while the Alnico at the neck offers rounder, singing leads. The Push-Pull controls expand the range (split and voicing) to switch from a thick wall of sound to more airy textures, all while maintaining excellent clarity.

Recommended Compatible Accessories

The guitar comes factory-equipped with Ernie Ball Regular Slinky 2221 in 010-046: sticking to this gauge is a safe choice to preserve the factory feel and balance. For transport, the SGR-1C hard case is listed as compatible (sold separately).
