An "Evil Twin" Built for the SLS Elite Series
New to the SLS Elite series, the Evil Twin clearly targets the modern range: a multi-ply neck-through construction, a Swamp Ash body accented with ivory binding, and a radical Satin Black (SBK) finish. The carbon fiber reinforcement and the truss rod adjustment wheel are designed for demanding guitarists who want a reliable, stable instrument ready for both stage and studio.
Who Is It For, and What Styles?
This 7-string electric guitar is primarily aimed at intermediate to advanced guitarists seeking a fast, precise, and durable instrument, especially for modern metal, prog, djent, hardcore, or any music requiring tight lows and clear palm muting. Its ergonomics (compound radius, stainless steel frets, slim profile) support both heavy riffs and smooth leads across the entire neck.
Sound
The combination of Swamp Ash (body) and flamed maple top delivers a sharp attack, clear highs, and a well-articulated low end, perfect for maintaining definition on 7 strings. The neck-through construction enhances sustain and consistency across positions, while the ebony fingerboard adds a quick and precise response. On the electronics side, the Fishman Fluence Modern humbuckers (ceramic magnet at the bridge, alnico at the neck) provide a modern, powerful, and very clean sound, with tight lows at the bridge and a rounder tone at the neck for solos, legato, and thick cleans.
Recommended Compatible Accessories
To stay as close as possible to the original specifications, you can use a set of Ernie Ball 7-String strings (.009/.011/.016/.026/.036/.046/.062) as replacements. For transport, the guitar can be paired with the SGR-1C gig bag (sold separately).

Questions frequently asked
Is the Schecter C-7 SLS Evil Twin suitable for djent and modern metal?
Its 26.5-inch (673 mm) scale length and Hipshot Hardtail through-body string bridge provide string tension suited for low tunings. The Fishman Fluence Modern Ceramic pickup at the bridge delivers tight lows and a defined attack for palm-muted riffs.
What is the neck profile of this 7-string guitar?
The neck measures 19 mm at the nut and 20 mm at the 12th fret, with a nut width of 48 mm. The compound radius from 12 to 16 inches and the 24 X-Jumbo stainless steel frets facilitate fast playing across the neck.
Which Fishman pickups are installed on the C-7 SLS Evil Twin?
The setup features a Fishman Fluence Modern Ceramic at the bridge and a Fishman Fluence Modern Alnico at the neck. This combination provides a powerful bridge tone and a rounder response at the neck for leads or thick clean sounds.
Is a gig bag included with the guitar?
No gig bag or case is included; the SGR-1C gig bag is available separately.
What replacement strings are recommended for this model?
An Ernie Ball 7-String set with gauges .009/.011/.016/.026/.036/.046/.062 is recommended to stay close to the specified setup. Schecter locking tuners and the Ernie Ball Compensated Nut contribute to tuning stability. The Hipshot bridge accepts through-body stringing.
