The sound

The swamp ash provides firm lows and a very responsive attack, with open highs that enhance clarity. The maple neck and maple fingerboard reinforce the attack and the typical "snap" of modern tones, ideal for dynamic playing and clear attacks. The Marcus Super-J Revolution pickups deliver a detailed Jazz grain, with a nice balance between warmth on the neck side and bite on the bridge side. The Marcus Heritage-3 preamp adds effective EQ (bass, treble) and especially mids with selectable frequency to sculpt the character: scoop for a bright, wide slap or boost mids for a more present fingerstyle. The Volume/Tone and Blender controls allow instant blending of the pickups depending on the track.
