A SL-1200 designed for professional demands

The Technics SL-1210MKX is part of the SL-1200 series and sits above the SL-1210MK7. It retains a hands-on approach to record control, while placing particular emphasis on mechanical adjustments and resistance to vibration. Its goal: to deliver stable playback in environments where high sound pressure levels put equipment to the test.

Its Black finish and silver tonearm reflect the range's understated visual identity. Beyond this familiar appearance, the reinforced chassis and quieter reset switch meet the demands of booth work. A design intended for permanent professional installations as well as equipment regularly deployed for live events.

For vinyl DJs, club booths and intensive performances

This direct-drive DJ turntable is aimed at experienced and professional DJs who want to remain in control of every transition. When beatmatching two tracks with similar tempos, the fine pitch adjustment allows for measured corrections. For scratching and turntablism, the motor settings and extended speed range provide greater freedom when manipulating the record.

In clubs, at festivals or as part of a rental fleet, mechanical stability is particularly important. The isolating feet and balanced chassis help limit the transmission of vibrations, especially when bass levels are high. These features are particularly relevant for long performances and booths hosting several successive DJs.

From precise beatmatching to radical speed variations

The coreless direct-drive motor lies at the heart of the SL-1210MKX. The adjustable starting torque lets you adapt the response when starting playback, while the brake speed adjustment customises the behaviour when stopping. This allows you to tailor the mechanical response to your mixing habits rather than changing your technique to adapt to a single response.

Pitch control combines a ±4% range, suited to fine adjustments, with an extended ±50% range for more dramatically transforming the rhythm and playback pitch. The three speeds—33 1/3, 45 and 78 rpm—expand the range of playable record formats. Reverse playback adds another option for creating effects and creative transitions.

The high-precision S-shaped tonearm accommodates the supplied OM-format cartridge, with headshell included. Connection to the mixing system is made via a phono output on two female RCA sockets, to be connected to a suitable phono input. The supplied dust cover protects the turntable from dust between uses.
