From Apollo X DNA to the Dante Era
A direct evolution of the Apollo X series, the Apollo x16D brings Dante networking to the heart of modern workflows. Designed to integrate with digital consoles and networked control rooms, it retains the sonic signature of the Apollo X while adding robust network scalability and possible redundancy across multiple units.Who Is It For and What Are Its Uses?
Ideal for live sound engineers, multi-room studios, and post-production facilities, the Apollo x16D excels when routing, processing, and recording numerous sources with minimal latency. It is also suitable for immersive productions thanks to its 16-channel monitoring and instant recall of effect chains for seamless stage or session changes.Key Features for Stage and Immersion
Real-time UAD Processing: The HEXA Core DSP enables full effect chains (preamps, equalizers, compressors, reverbs, Auto-Tune, etc.) directly within the mix engine, bypassing the computer. Settings are recalled via MIDI for smooth transitions.Dante Network Integration: Two RJ45 ports simplify deployment and redundancy. You can daisy-chain up to four x16D units to create a 64-channel system designed for tours, theaters, and networked studios.
Ready-to-Use Immersive Workflows: 16-channel management for Dolby Atmos, Auro-3D, and Sony 360 Reality Audio facilitates bus, object, and return configurations, with clear control via LED meters and assignable function buttons.
Plugin Bundles: The Apollo x16D is offered in "Essentials+" or "Ultimate+" editions. Depending on the edition, you benefit from a vast selection of iconic UAD plugins (LA-2A, 1176, Pultec, Neve, SSL, Auto-Tune, Lexicon and EMT reverbs, Studer/Ampex tape emulations, etc.).
