A studio-flavored plate reverb in a pedalboard format

The UAFX Heavenly Plate Reverb captures the spirit of studio plate reverbs that defined recordings in the 1950s: that dense, musical, and instantly "mix-ready" halo that makes a guitar stand out in a production without drowning it. From the same sonic family as the Golden Reverberator, it condenses this expertise into a compact format designed to transition seamlessly from home studio to stage without compromise.

Who it's for and the styles where the Heavenly Plate excels

This pedal is aimed at guitarists seeking a premium reverb that's easy to dial in and capable of instantly transforming a dry sound into a record-ready tone. It suits intermediate players as well as professionals: in blues and rock to thicken leads, in pop to add width to arpeggios, in indie and ambient to build soundscapes, or in studio settings to create a coherent atmosphere across multiple tracks. On a pedalboard, it works very well at the end of the chain (after overdrive/distortion and modulation) to maintain a clean and spacious reverb, but is equally convincing placed before a slightly crunchy amp for a more vintage vibe.

Settings, modes, and design: fine control without hassle

The Heavenly Plate Reverb offers three complementary voices: Vintage Bright for brilliance that "brings out" your playing, Vintage Dark for a more subdued and deep reverb, and Modern Full for a wide and balanced image, ideal when you want volume of air without losing definition. The Pre-delay helps keep the attack intact (perfect for riffs and solos), while the EQ adjusts the reverb's place in the spectrum to avoid a "foggy" effect.

The Mod and Slow/Fast parameters allow you to add subtle (or more pronounced) modulation to bring movement, very useful on sustained chords or melodic lines. For convenience, the bypass switch offers two modes: true bypass for hard cuts, or trails to let the reverb naturally decay after turning the pedal off. Finally, the USB-C port simplifies firmware updates via computer.

The sound

The character of the Heavenly Plate is a reverb that is both dense and clear, with that "plate" sensation: a rich resonance field, even diffusion, and presence that flatters the guitar without pushing it excessively far back. The direct analog signal path helps preserve the touch, dynamics, and personality of your pickups, while the combination of Pre-delay + EQ allows you to quickly find the right balance live or in the studio. Whether you're looking for a short, bright vintage studio vibe or a more enveloping, modern depth, the three modes cover a wide palette while remaining immediately musical.
