The "GP" version emphasizes the elegance of the cabinet and a more immersive sound projection, ideal both for the living room and demanding musical spaces.

Keyboard Design

At the heart of the CLP-795GP is a GrandTouch 88-key keyboard designed to deliver sensations close to an acoustic piano: wooden keys (white keys only), ebony and synthetic ivory coatings for grip, escapement for a more realistic response, linear graded hammers across the entire range, and counterweights for better control of nuances at low dynamics. The response adapts to your style thanks to velocity curves Hard2, Hard1, Medium, Soft1, Soft2, as well as a Fixed mode for constant dynamics.
The pedal section is up to the task: 3 pedals (Damper with half-pedal function, Sostenuto, Soft) and GrandTouch Pedals with GP Response Damper for a more natural resistance feel. Assignable functions also allow control of musical parameters (sustain switch/continuous, pitch bend, rotary speed, playback pause, etc.).

Sound Quality

The CLP-795GP is based on a concert piano sound foundation with Yamaha CFX and Bosendorfer Imperial. For more immersive headphone playing, binaural sampling is available (on "CFX Grand" and "Bosendorfer"). The depth of the sound is enhanced by Virtual Resonance Modeling (VRM) and Grand Expression Modeling, two technologies that contribute to a more organic response, especially in resonances, articulation, and expressiveness.
For versatility, the onboard bank includes 53 voices plus 480 XG voices and 14 Drum/SFX kits, with a maximum polyphony of 256 notes to play layered sounds, with pedal, accompaniments, and recordings without any feeling of note stealing. On the amplification side, the system is designed with multi-way output: (45 W + 45 W + 45 W) x 2 and a speaker system (16 cm + 8 cm with waveguide + 2.5 cm dome with waveguide) x 2, featuring Spruce Cone Speaker for richer projection.
