A Modern Delay Reference: The "Inspiration Machine" Philosophy

The Strymon TimeLine was designed as a studio-quality stereo delay station, with a creativity and precision-oriented approach. Its high-performance DSP engine and meticulously crafted algorithms allow exploration of detailed, nuanced, and musical repeats while maintaining stage-ready ergonomics. In the lineup, it targets those who want a premium "all-in-one" delay capable of replacing multiple specialized pedals.

For Which Guitarists and Styles?

The TimeLine is aimed at both demanding musicians and professionals: it shines live thanks to its presets and Tap Tempo, and becomes formidable in the studio for layering clean and controlled stereo textures. Pop, rock, indie, ambient, post-rock, worship, electro, modern lead, or soaring arpeggios: its 12 engines cover a very wide palette, from subtle slapback to deep soundscapes.

Controls, Presets, and Operation: A Pedal Designed for the Field

On the front panel, seven dedicated controls (Time, Repeats, Mix, Filter, Grit, Mod Speed, Mod Depth) provide immediate access to the sound, while additional parameters via menu open highly advanced sculpting options. The three metal footswitches manage preset selection, bypass, Tap Tempo, and looper control. The expression pedal can control any knob (or combination), and each assignment can be saved per preset. In advanced configuration, MIDI allows clock sync, preset recall, and remote parameter control, including for the looper.

Sound Character

The TimeLine stands out with a wide stereo image, high definition, and very responsive dynamics to playing. Digital delays remain clear and crisp, tape-inspired modes add saturation and organic fluctuations, while "dBucket" and Lo-fi colors offer a more vintage and textured grain. Thanks to the analog dry path, your direct signal retains its natural quality and latency remains imperceptible, even with complex settings.
