Sound and design

The JTR1100Q is a Bb trumpet with a lacquered brass body, featuring an 11.70 mm bore and a 123 mm bell (lacquered brass). This combination promotes a direct projection and an "open" instrument feel, while maintaining the warm timbre typical of brass. The reverse leadpipe contributes to this sense of fluidity: air flows very naturally, helping to achieve a full sound at moderate dynamics and to phrase with less resistance.

Mechanically, the 3 pistons are designed for quick response. Jupiter highlights cross-lined internal grooves intended to retain oil, improving return speed and activation precision. For ergonomics, there is a ring on the 1st slide and an adjustable ring on the 3rd slide, useful for real-time tuning adjustments. The mother-of-pearl style piston buttons add an elegant, understated, and "stage-ready" touch.
